Before we came to Caratunk, we spent 19 years running a 23-room community house in Boston. Looking after a full house is what we know best. Church and ministry retreats, family reunions, riding clubs, hiking groups, and work teams are all welcome.

Christmas at The Sterling Inn: have the whole inn to yourselves

Some families want everyone under one roof at Christmas and nobody sleeping on a sofa. That is the one week of the year this old house does best. Fifteen rooms, a great room with the wood stove going, and a long table everyone actually fits around.

It is quiet out here in December. The nearest traffic is the occasional snowmobile. If your people want to be together somewhere with room to spread out, give us a call and we'll talk about whether it suits.

What a Christmas booking looks like

• A 2 night minimum

Meals

Breakfast is included every morning, the same as any other stay. We're licensed as a bed and breakfast, so breakfast is the meal we serve. For Christmas dinner and anything else, there's a full kitchen conversation to be had and we're happy to have it. Some groups cook together, some bring food in. Ask us and we'll tell you what has worked.
